2NIGO

A self-taught artist born in France in 1980, Nicolas Denigot has been passionate about comic books and manga from a young age-naturally leading him to embrace drawing as a form of expression.
Between 1995 and 2007, he created a kind of visual diary using Colorex inks and Indian ink, capturing moments from his everyday life.
Through his drawings of strange, tormented figures that reflected his inner world, he developed a unique style hovering between figuration and abstraction.
From 2000 to 2018, he worked in the field of communication before making a bold decision to leave that path behind and return fully to art.
This time, his medium became acrylic on canvas, giving rise to a colorful, untamed form of painting free from rules or constraints-an instinctive, visceral art.
Through his work, Denigot explores the human condition our thoughts, emotions, and desires.
His canvases are filled with faces and masks, stripped of identity or origin celebrating diversity and cultural blending, a core value in his art.
The colors are vivid, powerful, and intense, aiming to convey the full spectrum of human emotion.
Beneath the surface, there is tension, anxiety, and a simmering rage-haunted eyes and silent gazes seem to emerge from nowhere.
His work radiates a constant emotional turmoil a pulse, a saturation, a wild energy where everything collides and merges into a kind of organized chaos that breathes life into the painting.
