Melinda Infante

Melinda Infante is passionate about exploring different textures and materials such as clay, rope and thread, evoking the life and nuances of skin textures.
She currently chooses Japanese or Latin American paper, selected for its unique texture and distinctive fibrousness.
Using these materials, she creates works in which repeated motifs evoke the pulse of life.
Each cut, fold and shade of paper becomes a visual narrative, guiding her creative process.
Melinda defines herself as an intimate artist, entrusting her deepest emotions to her creations.
With a background in medical studies, she transposes the magic of the human being into her art, delicately fusing the delicacy of paper with the essence of existence.
In her creations, Japanese paper becomes more than a medium, it's a metaphor for life, for the body, a delicate skin impregnated with fine fibres that capture the echoes of existence.
Each brushstroke becomes a manifestation of life, a deposit of signs and imprints that tell the story of our existence. Guided by her creative instinct, Melinda fuses body and life in an artistic symphony expressing signs of life.
For Melinda, the power of giving life is the most beautiful of inspirations.
She feels an intense need to transpose this force of creation and birth into immortal works, where every emotion is captured and preserved.
