My name is Pierre and I'm based in Toulon, France.
I mainly paint figuratively, with the aim of representing people who do nothing. Inspired by Hopper, Bacon, Freud and Hockney in their depiction of isolation and lack of social interaction, I seek to show the invisible. In my painting, by avoiding any need for realism, I bring to the fore the sensation of a lived experience, based on personal memories.
Desperate friends, insignificant domestic objects and wandering spirits are all treated in the same way: Invisible or isolated, forgotten or abandoned, they illustrate a generation at a loss in a world going off the

With irony, I evacuate the overly heavy dimension of these subjects to take hold - through colour, distortion, deformation, exaggeration and displacement - of
these sensations and materialise them on canvas.
